Policing challenges in South Africa

South Africa is confronting a scourge of violent criminality, the Department of Police said in a statement.

Mbalula aims to instill an intelligence led policing approach to prevent and fight crime. “This entails strengthening of the Division of Crime Intelligence.”

Employment regulations of SAPS, said his department, are also an important matter for Mbalula.  

“The Minister will also touch on matters arising from his parliamentary interactions and expectations of Parliament and the general public, including other key policy direction matters.”
