A man was shot dead in the Johannesburg CBD on Friday. 

According to Arrive Alive, when ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene at around 10:30, Metro EMS and police were present. 

The man was found lying on the sidewalk and had been shot several times. 

He was declared dead on the scene. 

The circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to paramedics and police were conducting further investigations.
