Office Manager/Structural Engineer (Durban)

Duties include the following, but not limited to:
- Driving profitability targets for the Office
- Managing the optimisation of resources
- Understanding the business management policy and procedures
- Managing division risk and quality improvement programmes.

- Developing and applying professional expertise in project, portfolio, programmes and facilities management
- Strategic planning: Adapting and Innovating

- Working knowledge of various Forms of Contracts, viz. JBCC, NEC, FIDIC, etc.

- Manage teams and external consultants
- Develop and interpret financial reports and business/strategic plans
- Compiling WIP Reports

Requirements:
- Relevant built-environment Bachelor’s degree augmented by a post-graduate qualification
- Professional Registration as a Professional Engineer with ECSA
- Minimum 10 years as a Structural Engineer
- 10 – 15 years of relevant experience in Consulting Engineering, of which five to seven years were in a senior managerial role
- Private and public sector stakeholder management
- Strong track record of achieving results in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to grasp a range of complex issues, to prioritise, plan and exercise initiative
- Proven work experience in a similar role
- PrCPM would be an advantageous
- Driver’s License
- Desired Education Level: Honors – Engineering
