The Operations Maintenance Coordinator’s primary focus is the interface between Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and HSSE, to effectively and safely execute the maintenance work process.
The OMC is the primary representative for:
- Balancing the need for maintenance and operational plant requirements to achieve optimum plant availability, referencing the Corrective Maintenance Prioritisation Tool
- Ensure that work requests are assessed, screened, risk evaluated, prioritised, scoped, approved and communicated to the selected department.
- Internal execution of selected low med risk maintenance activities as part of the DIY initiative.
- Proactively seeking opportunities to continuously improve the maintenance process and eliminate reliability challenges ensures the overall effectiveness of the maintenance process.
- Oversee that preventive maintenance (PM) activities are aligned completed with the approved maintenance and inspection strategies.
Successful candidate should have the following
- Understanding of the concept of risk and its facets of probability and consequence, as well as application of the Risk Matrix.
- Roost cause troubleshooting abilities
- Analytical skills to assess and convert data to meaningful information to be used in optimising the maintenance environment
- Prioritisation skills and abilities
- Skill in work processes: Risk Assessment, MOC
- Knowledge of HSSE regulations, policies and procedures
- Experience with maintenance work process at Shell is desirable
- Knowledge of the DGAME-ME process, or a willingness to learn
- Skill in Maintenance policies and procedures
- Has solid understanding of a single discipline and sound understanding of the other disciplines in maintenance and engineering
- Budgeting Experience
- Scheduling experience
- Familiar with terminal operations and processes.
- Knowledge in plant Equipment, it’s operating limits, safeguards and interactions
- Knowledge of Emergency Response
- Possesses good communication and engagement skills and able to motivate people.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a wide range of stakeholders, and ability to get things done through influence.
- Has the capacity to build a shared vision and the courage to identify and realize opportunities for improvement.
- Basic level of IT literacy- GSAP, Excel, Word, Outlook
