Part-time Finance Officer
PART-TIME FINANCE OFFICER (2 Days / 116 hours per week)
This position is responsible for assisting with the overall success of the organization by effectively fulfilling all accounting and financial management tasks, contributing to the development and management of organizational and project budgets and producing high quality management reports.
This role will also be responsible for managing payroll and providing support for HR functions within the organization.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- At least five years’ experience in bookkeeping and financial management, especially with experience in the NPO sector and managing donor-driven financials
- Experience of budget development, management and forecasting in a donor-driven non-profit organisation
- Qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Business Management & Administration
- Proven experience in financial management and administration
- Experience using Xero accounting software and Pastel payroll software highly desirable
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Knowledge of legislation and regulations affecting non-profit organisations
- Knowledge of employment and occupational health and safety legislation
- Strong Excel skills and general IT skills
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills and a detailed, methodological approach to financial management
- Ability to convey financial information to non-financial staff
- Eligible to work in South Africa
