Industry: Consumer Packaged Goods Industry (FMCG)

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Ti Head office in Durban

Direct Reports: Twox Retail analysts

                         Twox Associate retail analysts

                         Twox research assistant

Travel requirements: Local, regional travel of approximately four to five days per quarter are required to execute in-store visits, regional retailer and manufacturer interviews

Salary: Competitive Salary – Solid Basic Salary and Bonus incentives

Main purpose of the job:

• To produce an accurate, current and relevant core report library that is relevant to client need and profitable to Ti
• Enhance thought-leadership positioning and entrench FMCG connectivity
• Translate Research content into effective and relevant School of Retail and Consulting materials

Requirements

• Five to ten years of experience working in the SA food and grocery industry
• Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills
• Ability to take initiative and work independently if required
• Resourceful problem solving skills
• Excellent organisation and management skills
• Experience in motivating, mentoring and managing a team
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage own and team deliverables
• Ability to extract insights and trends from data and information and comment on their implications for suppliers and manufacturers
• Strong team ethos and the ability to work cross-functionally or across project teams in a flexible and collaborative way
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to write in a clear, concise and relevant reader-friendly style
• Expert level skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Second language desirable
