We are looking for an experienced consumer account director who has solid experience working in a PR agency on medium and large clients. Experience working on multiple local and global brands is a must. He/she must have strong client relationship skills, people management and working with a degree of independence.
This position reports directly into the Group Account Director and the candidate should have project management, budgeting, people management, and business development skills. He/she will oversee and drive workflow and processes within the team, with a focus on retaining and growing existing clients and people, working closely with the senior leadership team to steward the ‘Retain and Grow’ strategy of the company.
The candidate should have a clear understanding of the overall company strategy, client strategies and ensuring that they work with the appropriate leaders in the business to deliver both client and company objectives.
Skills and requirements
- Minimum of six to ten years of experience in a PR agency
- Experience with local and international lifestyle and consumer brands with an understanding of business trends in the industries to which he/she consults
- Understands integration and ability to work collaboratively with other internal business units to produce integrated 360 campaigns
- Must have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively at all levels
- Strong budgeting experience
- Solid understanding of consumer trends and marketing best practices
- Strategic thinker with creative abilities to develop innovative client strategies, PR plans and leading a team on execution. Will be responsible for overall development of strategies, PR collateral, and programs based on team input
- Excellent media and influencer relations and contacts in order to develop and guide media and influencer relation strategies
- Has established a circle of industry editorial, investment community, professional and/or third-party group contacts
