Job description

We are an established PR agency based in Black River Park Observatory, focusing on clients in the property, retail, wine and tourism sectors.

We are looking for a focused and dedicated individual to fulfil the role of account executive, to ultimately oversee a selection of clients.

The role will include:

• Manage client relationships
• Assist the directors with account management
• Liaise on a daily basis with clients and the media
• Build strong relationship with media
• Work as part of an account team to develop client proposals and implement PR activity
• Research, write and distribute press releases to targeted media
• Collate, analyse and evaluate media coverage
• Undertake research for new business proposals and present them to potential new clients
• Manage the PR aspect of a possible crisis situation
• Build and manage media lists
• Manage and produce content for various social media accounts

Ideally we are looking for an individual with over two years of experience in PR or other media communication, however if we feel the candidate is strong enough we will consider less experience. It is important to note that we are looking for an individual with strong people skills, and who is willing to go the extra mile for our clients.

Must have own transport.

Requirements

• Good communication
• Good phone etiquette (and confidence)
• A decent understanding of Microsoft Office
• An understanding of the South African media environment
• Ability to produce content, in the form of press releases, blog posts etc
