The Team Leader is the first line of management and is responsible for the day to day running of their respective department, and will organise, coach and develop their team, whilst providing a safe and professional working environment.

Main duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure company Safety, Quality and operational procedures are followed at all times
• Provide a clean, safe and professional working environment for their team
• Lead, Coach, Motivate and Drive the performance of their team to meet company KPIs
• Attend the daily production meeting
• Report any personnel issues to the Production Manager, including sickness and absence
• Make sure the daily schedule is being followed 
• Report on performance issues and suggest improvement idea
• Report any maintenance issues to the Maintenance Supervisor using the maintenance dashboard
• Complete General Risk Assessments in line with the team’s requirements
• Take ownership for the quality performance of your team
• Monitor the performance of your team, highlight any training needs to the Production  Manager
• Assist in the development of any new procedures and their implementation

Skills and Experiences Required

• Matric Certification 
• Hands-on experience in a production environment is a must
• Team Leading/Supervisory experience of Production teams
• A highly organised individual with experience of working to tight deadlines
• Calm under pressure and adaptable to suit different styles
• An excellent communicator, organised and able to delegate

Remuneration and Benefits: 
R40,000 with full benefits, paid overtime and bonus annually
