Job requirements :
- Strictly a National Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics /Electrical / Electronic Engineering or relevant engineering qualification
- 3 year’s relevant experience in automotive production processes and facilities
- Computer skills (MS Outlook, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Word , Excel)
- Detailed knowledge of project management
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to work within a team and must be able to work under pressure
- Proven analytical skills with an innovative approach to problem-solving
- Ability to compile detailed investment studies and project control plans
- Have a valid driver’s license
Duties :
- Taking responsibility for all assigned project planning activities during a project introduction on a selected production line with the focus to achieve quality, cost and scheduled targets.
- Managing technical data and facilities.
- Project management of new product and facility introductions including critical path analysis and timing controls.
- Planning the introduction of new models and model facility changes in Assembly.
- Developing innovative improvements to the existing systems within Assembly.
- Supervising installations of equipment and machinery (mechanical and electrical) and ensure that all production and quality requirements are met.
- Frequently liaising with external suppliers and internal customers.
- Using software computer tools and systems to do layouts, track projects, presentations, SPC analysis, FMEA’s etc.
Skills and other attributes
- In-depth knowledge of line automation
- Should have a strong aptitude for system and process design
- Knowledge of vehicle electrics / electronics architecture
- Must be flexible, self-driven and be a team player
- Must be able to work under pressure with proven analytical skills and innovative approach to problem-solving
