A job opportunity exists for a public relations assistant at AMC Classic. The job will be a work from home position currently but may require working from our support centre in Lansdowne in future or at times. The position reports to the brand manager.

Purpose of the position

To form part of the content creation and writing team and to coordinate the administrative aspects of the marketing department.  This includes, but is not limited to:

• Content creation and writing – initial drafts, editing, generating ideas, proofreading
• Social media and online work
• Administration – assisting with digital tools, creating briefs, updating project schedules and lists, daily admin tasks

AMC Classic is a direct sales company, selling high quality stainless steel cookware, manufactured in our factory in Atlantis. We have been in existence for over 50 years.

Minimum Requirements

All applicants must meet these requirements:

• NDip public relations (or equivalent – BA Communication/media studies/BCom PR/marketing) – this job is suitable for those looking for their intern work component
• Social media experience

Preferred Requirements

• One two two years of experience in a similar role
• An interest in food and cooking

Competencies Required

• Strong writing skills in English, including excellent grammar and punctuation
• Attention to detail and good organisation skills
• Takes initiative and able to work independently
• Confident and calm manner, even when under pressure
• Takes responsibility for work
• Deadline driven
• Intermediate to advanced skills on MS Word, Excel and Google Suite equivalents
• Honesty
• Good credit history
• No conviction for theft or fraud
