Quality Technician
Reference: PE002568-BG-1 Our client in the Automotive component Manufacturing industry is looking to employ a Quality Technician. Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform quality control checks on products during the production cycle and to ensure items meet safety regulations and to maintain / update Control Plans, FMEA’s and Process Charts. • Assist with daily production issues and monitoring • Investigate and implement continuous improvement initiatives. • Stopping manufacturing process when a failure is detected during Measurement/process audit or production run to minimize scrap. • Close out all audit findings within the stipulated time frames. • Monitor internal, supplier and customer corrective actions. • Handling of nonconforming material and raise supplier claims. JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum requirement – National Diploma in Industrial/Mechanical engineering. • At least 2 – 3 years relevant experience in Quality/Automotive with a proven track record. • Full knowledge on FMEA, Control Plans and G8D • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities. • Sound technical capabilities and understanding. • Sound knowledge of ISO9001, TS16949 standards • Knowledge of Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) / Statistical Process Control (SPC) / Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP). • Product / Process audits. • Internal PPM reporting and monitoring. talent@staffsols.co.za
