A Process Engineer/Scientist is required to develop and evaluate new technologies for the commercialization of novel and innovative products as well as the support of current production processes and be involved in the development and implementation of production improvement projects. Applicants must be in possession of a postgraduate BSc degree in Chemistry (or related field) or Chemical Engineering. M.Sc or M.Eng. Candidates with post graduate or research experience will receive preference. • Develop and evaluate new technologies for the commercialization of novel and innovative products.
• Maintain awareness of competitive products and applications, technical developments in related fields of engineering/science and market trends.
• Formulation & application testing of new products.
• Support of production targets & be involved in the development and implementation of production improvement projects.
• Collaborate with R&D team members, production & commercial teams regarding product formulation, process parameters, scale-up & trial support. • Designs & conducts chemical experiments on both lab and pilot-scale utilizing new and established methods. • Compilation of research results in a scientific report format
• Capacity to deal with complex issues both systematically & creatively
