Environment:
A dynamic investment company invites a highly skilled reporting analyst with an appreciation for data quality to join its team. The core role involves implementing and enhancing reporting solutions for clients through varying technologies.
You must possess a relevant degree, with at least four years’ investment/asset management experience as well as data marts and data warehouse technologies. Must-have skills include SQL Server, Transact SQL.
Duties:
- Understanding the data architecture within IAM as it relates to data being required by reporting solutions and query resolution.
- Liaise with business areas to gather business requirements and translate these into specifications.
- Writing reports/extracts/queries from requirements specifications using the technologies such as SQL.
- As part of a team, own the reports and extracts ensuring global consistency and avoiding duplication by suggesting similar reports and extracts already available.
- Analyse and resolve problems in existing reports/extracts /queries and then implement corrective actions.
- Assist team leader with other initiatives as and when required.
- Improve and where necessary, put in place processes for use within the team.
Risk and compliance responsibilities
- Adhere to the in-house code of ethics which forms part of employment contract, and which includes the following key policies: management of conflicts of interest, treating clients fairly, confidentiality of client and business information, handle inside information, personal account dealing, disclosure of outside interests, provision or receipt of gifts, entertainment, events or other benefits.
- Ensure compliance forms are completed and returned on a timely basis for example investment limit checks, training logs, PAD declarations, code of ethics, gifts and entertainment (including events) declaration, beneficial ownership declaration, declaring outside interests, and fit and proper questionnaire, etc.
- Ensure attendance at compliance training sessions, as well as completion of EvokeIT electronic training.
- Adhere to the conflicts of interest and confidentiality policies and advising Compliance of any possible issues.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified
- Minimum foour years investment/asset management experience.
- Experience of Data Marts
- Data Warehouse Technology
