A sophisticated Hotel situated in Sandton is seeking a Restaurant Manager to be fully responsibility for the restaurant/s & bars for the property.  Responsible for operations and profitability by effectively planning, leading, organising and controlling, all aspects of strategy, marketing, budgets, standards and finances.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Minimum of 8  years’ experience in a restaurant environment in total
• Minimum of 4 years restaurant management experience
• Minimum of 2 years F&B Experience in Hotels
• Grade 12
• Further Industry-related qualification (Desirable).

Job Knowlege and Skills Required:

• Computer literacy:  Word, Excel, Micros or Relevant POS system
• Working knowledge of Human Resource Policies and Practices;
• Working knowledge of Legislation applicable to the a Food and Beverage operation;
• Understanding of Marketing & Sales Principles within the Food & Beverage environment;
• In-depth knowledge of Food, Wine, Liquor and Beverage;
• In-depth knowledge of stock management;
• Working knowledge of equipment used in a Food & Beverage operation;
• Understanding of the Time & Motion Principles in a kitchen, restaurant and service departments
• Working knowledge of Financial & Administrative Principles;
• Working knowledge of POS and PMS systems;
• Basic understanding of IT, AV & Telecomms software & hardware systems;
• Knowledge of Diverse Cultures
