Job description
Ninety9cents is a full-service, integrated advertising agency located in Cape Town, and is one of South Africa’s largest independently owned agencies. Led by founder and MD Andrew Brand, the agency’s extensive client base includes leading brands such as Shoprite/Checkers, Ackermans, Puma, Spur Group, Capitec and Distell, to name but a few. We are looking for a dynamic retoucher to join our team.
Summary of duties include but not limited to:
- Ensure colour consistency between image assets
- Edit or extend backgrounds, adjust colour tones, and retouch skin textures for a natural finish
- The ability to work with facial contours
- Responsible for retouching all image types, each requiring different levels of work – product and people
- Masking hair and seamlessly comping images from a variety shots, as well as working with shadows
- Confidence in colour correction and cleaning up of images
Requirements
Minimum relevant experience required:
- Two+ years’ relevant experience as a colour retoucher/DTP operator
- A perfectionist with exceptional attention to detail
- Open to feedback and open to daily changes
- Ability to work without supervision
- Have advanced knowledge in colour correction and retouching
- Excellent planning, time management, and organisational skills
- Reliable and able to meet deadlines
- Motivated and determined
Minimum education requirements:
- Graphic design qualification
Technical skills/knowledge:
- Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
- Advanced Photoshop highly advantageous
