A rigging company is currently hiring Riggers that will be responsible for monitoring, operating, hoists, winches and chain blocks to lift and pull material with cable equipment. Requirements:
-Grade12.
-Previous experience in the same environment and have all the relevant certifications.
-Sober habits and responsible.
Day to day duties are as follows but not limited to:
-Operate hoists, winches and chain blocks to lift and pull loads.
-Use power-operated cable equipment on winches.
-Will use a variety of signals, that includes hand and whistle signals.
-Monitor equipment to verify load position.
-Reposition hoists; winches and chain blocks.
-Load and unload materials using equipment and machines.
-Select loads according to weight and size.
-Attach or disconnect cables to loads.
-Climb ladders in order to position and setup hoist, winches, chain blocks and mounted derricks.
