Johannesburg-based global investment bank with African roots requires a business support and development analyst to work in the exciting world of financial markets within a front office facing role, the business support and development analyst is required to perform analysis for the implementation of a CVA solution for the structured solutions trading desk.

Required skills and experience are:

• More than five years’ experience on a risk system (VAR or PFE), trading systems support, global markets related analysis or development
• Working knowledge of financial instruments and derivatives is a must. Specifically credit derivatives and interest rate derivatives
• Understand and clearly explain risk calculation methodologies associated with trading
• Understanding of the full trade lifecycle
• The credit and/or market risk business processes within investment banking (CVA, VaR, risk and regulatory capital, sensitivities, stress testing, P/L vectors, risk aggregation)
• Problem-solving and analysis experience
• Development and IT projects experience

Technologies:

• Scripting languages like python
• Excel VBA
• SQL, C# or Java, C++ development experience will also be beneficial
