Sales Specialist – Medical Textiles
Our client is looking for a Sales Representative with 3 to 5 years proven sales experience to sell their Operating Theatre Consumables (Re-usable & Single-use drapes and gowns, Procedure Packs, Medical Textiles, and Surgical Instruments & Trays) in the Port Elizabeth area. Prior experience in ‘Nurse Training’ or training staff in the theatre environment will be advantageous.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Nursing Qualification
- Bachelor of Science Degree or Business-Related Degree
- Previous Experience in Medical Device Sales
- South African ID
- Driver’s License and Own Vehicle
- Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse in Theatre (Advantageous)
EXPERIENCE
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in Surgical/Medical Device Sales
- Knowledge of CSSD procedures
- Valid Driver’s license and own vehicle.
- CRICE Training (Advantageous)
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for establishing sales objectives and devising sales activities that support these objectives across all relevant business units in the company. To drive sales activities by developing and maintaining demand for the range of products and services to designated accounts, in accordance with agreed business plans
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
- SALES AND MARKETING
- Report on competitor behaviour, threats and opportunities for the business.
- Create, develop and implement sales strategies
- Plan, organize and manage all sales activities
- Identify, analyse and implement new methods and techniques to determine sales growth
- Analyse the company’s sales policies and recommend proper improvements and changes
- Establish and implement sales objectives and goals
- Assist and support sales colleagues as well as production team whilst performing daily sales activities
- Analyse, interpret and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs and results
- Participate in marketing events such as seminars, congresses and appropriate medical societies
- Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers to drive new business development, on relevant products
- Analyse markets in order to identify new sales and business opportunities
- PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE
Provide customers with product and service information relating to Re-Usable & Single-use drapes and gowns, procedure packs, medical textiles, and surgical instruments
- TRAINING
- Training of both staff and clients on the relevant products
- Support and co-ordinate product training programs for designated products as required
- SALES REPORTING
Supply management with reports on customer’s needs, problems, interests, competitive activities and potential for new products and services
- Track sales data pertaining to area and manage inconsistencies.
- Monthly Sales Reporting
- Management of sales stock
- Continuously monitor stock levels at existing clients to ensure that correct stock levels are adhered to.
- Assist with the identification and management of ageing stock at clients to ensure prompt return of aged packs to our production facility for re processing.
- Stock-take responsibilities on site at clients as and when required.
- MANAGEMENT OF SALES STOCK
