Job description
The Council for Health Service Accreditation of Southern Africa NPC is a registered Section 21 (non-profit) Company and a leader in the field of health care quality improvement, patient safety and accreditation of healthcare facilities across Africa.
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, experienced secretary who can provide excellent support to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board. You must be able to take accurate minutes of meetings and produce top-quality documents and reports. You can think on your feet, take initiative, work independently as well as be part of a team.
The role includes:
- Providing full secretarial support to the Chief Executive
- Ensuring that all Board Meetings, including the AGM are fully serviced and minuted
- Providing secretarial support to the Technical Committee
- Providing secretarial support to the Senior Management Team
- Working as part of the Business Development Unit
We work in a flexible, fast-paced environment with both public and private healthcare facilities across Africa. If you are the right person, you will have excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working with senior officials in government and the private sector. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be a problem-solver. You will have excellent time-management and exceptional organisational skills. You will be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Knowledge of, or experience in, the health care sector would be an advantage.
Requirements
- A proven track record at a senior secretarial level with Board experience
- Excellent minute taking – shorthand would be an advantage
- Attention to detail
- Strong organisational and administrative ability
- Excellent skills in all MS Office applications
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to interact with senior national and international officials
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Be able to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment
