Security Guard – Bloemfontein
1) Core Purpose Maintains security and safety of customers, employees and property, by patrolling areas on foot and enforcing Medical Society rules and regulations are adhered to. 2) Key Role Outputs a) Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
b) Obtain help by sounding alarms.
c) Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing Violators of policy and procedures; restraining Trespassers.
d) Control traffic by directing Drivers.
e) Completion of Incident Management Reports.
f) Maintain environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.
g) Maintain organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
h) Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
i) Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
j) Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
k) Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
l) Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of Employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
m) Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
n) Call Police or Fire Departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
o) Circulate among Visitors, Patrons, and Employees to preserve order and protect property.
p) Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict Violators from premises, using force when necessary.
q) Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas. 3) Mandatory Qualifications a) Matric Certificate
