One of the world’s largest assurance and advisory firms is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to assist their dynamic and analytical team in taking the business to new heights by developing analytical modules and delivering value to the business. You will be required to design, develop and investigate data issues while having the privilege of working in the laid back city of Cape Town.
                                                                                    
The successful candidate will be working in an agile technical and business environment. He/she will be responsible for preparing a vast range of data from all businesses’ across 150 countries into formats that can be used by analysts and end-users to develop different insights.

Requirements

• Design analytical models using specifies toolsets,
• Experience in developing ETL / ELT procedures
• An understanding of data management solutions
• A strong data modelling and engineering background

The successful candidate must have first-hand experience in three or more of the following;

• Exposure to Cloud BI/Azure/AWS/GCP
• Hadoop
• SQL Server Stack
• SAP Hana will be highly advantageous
• Data Warehousing principals based on Kimball and Vault patterns

Technology required for this role;

• Python
• R
• Java
• C++
• Scala

Qualifications, Competencies and Skills

• At least 4 years of experience working as a data engineer
• Masters in Data Science will be advantageous
• Have a keen eye for detail
• Be able to integrate data from a broad range of business systems
