We have a terrific opening for a talented senior digital copywriter at a great digital marketing agency’s Cape Town office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone skilled, creative and conceptual with both digital and above-the-line agency experience under their belt. This role will see you responsible for developing high-quality, intelligent copy and innovative creative solutions that communicate the brands effectively. Come on and show us what you’ve got!

Responsibilities

• Translate the brief and the strategic requirements into a compelling creative solution
• Putting your ideas down on paper in the most effective way possible to sell them
• Being proactive and arriving at topical and tactical ideas
• Inspiring the people around you
• Conduct brainstorms and ideation activities to conceptualise campaigns with the team(s) involved
• Assume a mentorship role to grow junior, mid-weight and senior copywriters

Requirements The successful candidate must have/be:

• A degree or diploma in copywriting or relevant qualification from a reputable institute
• Six+ years’ agency experience
• An excellent creative portfolio showing award-winning campaigns executed across a variety of digital media
• Digital experience, particularly with, but not limited to web, social and emerging technologies
• Exceptional communication skills written and verbal
• Strong conceptual skills
• Strategic thinking that can deliver great campaign ideas
• Multi-tasking skills necessary for working on concurrent projects
• Able to stay on top of the latest trends to be at the forefront of innovation
• Team management skills
• Work hard, play hard attitude.
• Very detail orientated
• A go-getter who always strives to deliver the best possible results
• A great work ethic and be prepared to go the extra mile – a real team player
• Confident with a drive to succeed
