Globe Media is a specialist online travel publisher dedicated to producing destination information for business travellers, holidaymakers and expatriates. Airlines, travel companies and relocation businesses rely on us to inform and educate their clients and inspire their potential customers. Our consumer websites include www.wordtravels.com and www.expatarrivals.com, although we are principally a B2B content provider.

As our editor you will be responsible for our content, managing the six-person editorial team, sourcing contributors, managing new projects and liaising with clients when required. The day to day role is hands-on and office-based – researching, writing, editing and proofing content.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification, ideally in English or journalism
• A minimum of four years of editorial experience
• Well organised, reliable and self-motivated
• Ability to manage and motivate a team
• Excellent written, subbing and research skills
• Meticulous attention to detail

Advantageous

• Widely travelled and internationally-minded – our content and audience is global- knowledge and understanding of analytics, social media, SEO and digital advertising
• Commercially minded with an ability to liaise with clients and a desire to develop new business
• Project management experience
