An end-to-end IT solutions and services concern in Johannesburg is looking for a senior engineer to join their Johannesburg-based team.

Duties:

• Work with multiple clients.
• Assist operations manager in managing team to optimise team deliverables.
• Compilation of advanced reports.
• Analysis and interpretation of information from management systems to identify areas of possible improvement and risk.
• Plan and perform special investigation base on customer requirements.
• Technical training and support of customers on management systems and/or areas of specialisation.
• Provide consultation on the use of ‘information about IT’ to improve or optimize IT environments.
• Monitoring and configuration of business impact and other composite relationships.
• Advanced identification, analysis, and resolution of technical problems.
• Independent completion of task, presentation of reports, and making recommendation to client.

Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge or any relevant qualification in the following languages; A+, N+, Linux RedHat and Ubuntu, Windows Operating systems, TCP/IP, FCAPS and related standards such as SNMP, WMI and syslog, VOIP, Ixia, Dell and Super Micro.

Advantageous

• Eight years’ IT experience.
• Five years’ network experience.
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools (CCNA, ITIL, Mikrotik, Netscout/Fluke).
