A Solutions and Systems Integration Specialist seeks a technically skilled Senior Engineer: Skype for Business to join its Joburg offices. Reporting to the Microsoft Business Group Lead, you will be expected to design and implement Office 365 solutions, support integration points and carry out incident root cause analysis. You require Grade 12 and Microsoft Certifications: 70-333: Deploying Enterprise Voice with Skype for Business 2015 and 70-334: Core Solutions of Microsoft Skype for Business 2015 and at least three years’ Unified Communications experience.

Duties:

• Design, plan, and implement Office 365 solutions.
• Support the in-scope server operating system, system management software and operating system utilities, including minor upgrades (such as a release upgrade).
• Support and maintain the integration points with other systems e.g. trunks to Cisco PABX.
• Manage the operating system configuration including initial server configuration, modifying configuration files, system configuration documentation and access to system configuration files.
• Proactively monitor and attend to unhealthy operating system\application log events.
• Manage Operating System\Application Processes to ensure the service is operational and highly available.
• Recommend operating system\application updates and configuration modification, as required.
• Apply operating system\Application patches and updates, as required.
• Maintain tools for remote management and alert monitoring.
• Maintain and implement operational support procedures, including Service desk training relating to the service.
• Maintain the hardware and software configuration server information.
• Evaluate planned changes to the Service and advise of any requirements to support such changes.
• Adhere to standard security processes and procedures.
• Take measures to ensure the Service is kept secure.
• Create and modify system scripts.
• Provide health check and performance reports.
• Incident root cause analysis and remediation.
• Manage queues for incidents, problems, changes and other service requests pertaining to performance.
• Manage thresholds and alerts for the service.
• Analyse and optimise service performance to avoid service level breaches, alerts and failures.
• Recommend and if approved implement changes to maintain agreed upon system performance levels following change management process.
• Collect, summarise and store performance data (Standard Performance Data Management).
• Provide Monthly and adhoc Performance\Capacity Reporting.
• Determine policies for use within Performance tooling; and recommend in customisation and maintenance of standard Performance Management tooling to maximize productivity benefits.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Certifications –

• Grade 12
• Microsoft Certifications:
• 70-333: Deploying Enterprise Voice with Skype for Business 2015.
• 70-334: Core Solutions of Microsoft Skype for Business 2015.

Experience/Skills –

• Minimum of three years with Unified Communications experience.
• Able to obtain and maintain vendor certifications.
• Able to coordinates virtual teams.
