My client is a full-service partner for e-learning solutions, based in Cape Town, South Africa.
As the senior graphic designer you will be part of a team that creates custom e-learning solutions that combine creative design, educational content and intuitive learning technology, for a sophisticated learner experience. As a senior graphic designer, your main role will be to set, maintain and improve the overall quality and efficiency of graphic design. You are responsible for delivering creative solutions and leadership to a range of teams and multimedia projects, including e-learning, web, brand, print, games and app design.
Responsibilities
Graphic designer
- Design and develop graphics and multimedia content for product illustrations, logos, websites, videos, and animations.
- Set up and implement production processes and technical standards for graphics and digital learning content (including e-learning packages and learning platforms).
- Work with internal teams to generate ideas for pitches, proposals and projects.
- Meet with internal and/or external clients to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the project.
- Present finalised ideas and concepts to internal and/or external clients.
- Work to a brief, solve problems creatively and adapt style if needed.
- Develop design briefs that suit the client’s purpose and brand.
- Provide quality control over concepts, processes, deliverables and projects.
- Technical and creative up-skilling of staff, as necessary.
- Provide guidance on research and development projects, drive innovation and advise on new techniques and approaches to further Hubble Studios mission and vision
Project manager
- Agree on project objectives with the clients, and develop and manage project plans/scope accordingly.
- Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the project requirement.
- Communicate with clients and internal teams.
- Provide quality control over projects.
The ideal candidate has the following skills/experience
- A qualification in graphic design/UX or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years work experience required in relevant field.
- Technical knowledge and proficiency of design software essential (Adobe CS6: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Competency in Mac OS X essential.
- Experience in character design and creation for various animations (advantageous).
- Experience in HTML and CSS (advantageous).
- Experience working with e-learning platforms such as Moodle LMS (advantageous).
- Experience with rapid e-learning authoring tools i.e. Articulate Storyline; Captivate (advantageous).
