Job description

This role will be ideal for a candidate to provide board and audit committee with assurance that the system of internal control is adequate and effective, risk management processes are working as intended and that the organisation complies with the relevant Corporate Governance Codes as amended from time to time.

Here’s what you can expect to be doing in the role

• Involved in entire audit lifecycle including planning, scoping to carrying out detailed reviews and testing
• Assist with the supervision and coaching / mentoring of the junior team members
• Communicates the results of audit findings to clients including drafting of the audit reports
• Delivers audit assignments in time and in accordance with the HomeChoice Internal Audit methodology and as per agreed quality standards through staff supervised
• Develops and maintains appropriate client relationships
• Gains and applies industry and technical knowledge
• Write SQL scripts to perform data analysis (advantageous)
• Facilitate risk workshops, maintain risk management documentation and assist with risk management administration and reporting (As needed)

Requirements

A little about who you are

• Minimum of four years’ experience in internal auditing
• Relevant Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree (Bcom) or other
• CIA or CA (SA) certification
• Experience in an IT internal audit environment (advantageous)
• High level of assertiveness and interpersonal skills
• Collaborates effectively with others
• Good leadership skills and ability to manage staff
• Logical thinker with ability to drive to the root cause of a problem
• Attention to detail
