Our client is seeking to employ a senior maintenance technician to start immediately in Maitland, Cape Town.

Requirements:

• 10 years’ experience in a mechanical/technical environment
• Wireman’s licence would be an added advantage
• Qualified artisan (M5/6)
• NQF 5
• Electrical trade/wiring qualification
• PCL programming/electronics
• Basic welding (argon gas)
• Wireman’s license would be an added advantage

Skills/duties:  

• Conduct routine maintenance checks of plant, equipment and machinery
• Manage the maintenance and fixing of broken or faulty plant equipment and machinery
• Source maintenance suppliers
• Coordinate external maintenance services by contractors
• Conduct health and safety functions
• Prepare management reports
