•Ensure that materials, equipment and labour required are available consistently. •Maintain compliance to production schedule •Control Manufacturing Cost. •Optimize Machine utilization •Reduce scrap cost to within acceptable target •Create an environment of effectiveness, efficiency and optimum performance by providing direction, motivation and development in line with operational objectives. •Maintain quality standards and ensure that all subordinates are adhering to quality management system. •Ensure effective support for all HR related functions. •Submit daily production reports •Ensure that the department is run cost effectively •Efficient usage of labour to reduce Labour Cost Desired Experience & Qualification. • NQF 4 & National Diploma in Production Management/ Production Technology • Mechanical / Industrial Engineering Qualification would be advantageous. • At least 5 years leadership experience within an automotive manufacturing environment. • Strong leadership skills • Excellent Problem Solving Techniques • Understanding of quality management principles • Familiar with machining and assembly .environment • Ability to learn and understand different / new robot software easily and quickly.
