Client is significant end-user seeking to change the way they operate by leveraging off modern, advanced tech.

You will play a key hand in the design and development of these new products and services.

Leverage off the vast might of a massive end user while operating in a unit set up as a dev shop – best of both worlds.

Agile processes, new tech/infrastructure.

The team is already large (30/35 devs) but still exploring new channels.

The people they need:

• Naturally talented developers and engineers.
• Some ability for both tech and maths.
• Eight years’ plus commercial experience.
• Stable project history.
• You get excited about throwing interesting tech at new problems. (very little technical debt).

The tech they need you to know:

• C# – depth of knowledge – .Net 4.5, 5.0, theoretical. Net Core.
• ASP.Net – MVC, Web API.
• SQL – broad RDBMS, specific flavour irrelevant.
• JavaScript architectures – general JavaScript at least.
• HTML5 with at least passable CSS3.
• Good design patterns knowledge.
• Senior dev experience ideally with early Arc (at least) and design experience.

The non-essential ‘wish list’ includes (you may have none of these and still qualify): 

• Xamarin or Swift/IOS or Android.
• Angular/Typescript or similar.
• Scala or Haskell or F#, etc. – they tend towards Scala.
• Hadoop or similar.
• Java OR C++.

Reference number for this position is JP36803 which is a permanent position based in Cape Town CBD offering a salary negotiable between R600,000 all the way up to R900,000 CTC.
