Duties and Responsibilities · Field Service – On site repairing of varying problems on different makes of earthmoving, material handling equipment and port machinery. · Field Service – Performing preventative maintenance on customers’ earthmoving, material handling equipment and port machinery. · Providing exceptional customer service work and managing workloads independently. · Repairing varying problems on different makes of earthmoving, material handling equipment and port machinery. · Troubleshooting, assembling, disassembling and testing components. · Adhering to scheduled servicing of different makes of equipment. · Performing initial visual inspections as well as pre-delivery inspections. · Reconditioning of various makes of equipment. · Diagnosing, Trouble-shooting and repairing of existing faults. · Overseeing work done by lower personnel / assistant technicians. Educational Requirements · Engineering qualification or similar. Skills · Troubleshooting · Equipment maintenance and selection · Operation monitoring. · Complex problem solving and critical thinking · Time management skills · Interpersonal communication skills · Administration.
