This is a great job, if you don’t want to sacrifice your deep tech skills you’ve built but would prefer to get out of the daily grind in the city where most of the big projects are. Easy commutes. Easy access to an outdoor lifestyle from the beach to rock climbing.

This gig mixes both up, moving here would give you easy access to Cape Town and it’s surrounds (not at rush hour though) but is far enough out, that you lose all the negatives of big city living including bumper to bumper traffic.

Relocation packages are on offer for developers wanting to semigrate.

Your role is focused on designing and building the next gen web frameworks that their newer cloud based products rely upon.

You will find yourself working on their front ends (they already have a bunch of UX designers in place to help you), websites, connectivity as well as working on the performance and security of those layers.

NB – they can accommodate pure front-end developers as well as ‘Full Stack’ people who enjoy Front End development.

You’re going to need to know a couple of things to get this job:

• You work in C# now but have also taken yourself a little beyond the norm
• You understand that stack well, as well as the little tricks & details that make Visual Studio so much quicker
• You will need to have either worked a lot in Angular or coded a lot in Typescript, ideally within a C# context
• You need to at least buy into TDD

It would help a ton if you knew a little about the following:

• HTTP/REST
• Azure or any of the other large cloud services

Rates are genuinely negotiable. I have placed people with them at the R100k per month mark, bearing in mind that these developers are seriously skilled, veterans. We’ve also placed younger, up and comers with them at the R50k/R60k mark.

Client’s attitude is that they will always consider you if you are a heavyweight C# developer but failing that, they are happy to upskill and teach younger C# developers as part of their succession planning.
