KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Manage Environmental, Safety and Health System . • Monthly reporting and analysis • Manage all aspects of the Environmental, Safety and Health Legislation • Manage preparedness and responses. • Co-ordinate and Control Fire prevention and protection. • Co-ordinate all contractors on site according to the new Construction Regulations. • Ensure availability of competent First Aiders • Visual presence in Plants. • dd JOB OUTCOMES AND FUNCTIONS • Manage Environmental, Safety and Health System • Manage and implement the MA Group Environmental, Safety and Health systems. • Ensure that management and employees are trained and are equipped with the skills to apply the systemEnsure corrective action for non-compliance to the system • Monthly Reporting and analysis. • Compile Monthly Reports. • Analyse trends and propose improvements • Manage all aspects of the Environmental, Safety and Health Legislation. • Co-ordinate all environmental, Safety and Health impacts and hazards at all plants. • Liaise with authorities with regard to by-laws applicable for plant location. • Investigate and follow up injuries / environmental impacts at all plants • Co-ordinate emergency preparedness and responses • Do risk assessments of environmental, Safety and Health hazards as well as action plans and follow up continuously. • Ensure integrity of equipment to control potential environmental impacts • Ensure emergency planning, development and implementation • Co-ordinate Fire prevention and protection • Co-ordinate contractors on site according to the Construction Regulations. • Give induction Training to all contract workers before working on site • Prepare Health and Safety specifications for all contractors. • Approve Health and Safety plans from contractors • Ensure Health and Safety files are complete after completion of contract. • Audit contractors activities once per month. • Ensure availability of competent First Aiders and Fire Fighters • Visual Presence in Plants. Education • NQF Level 4 • Environmental Law. • OHS Act • Samtrac • Auditors Certificate • Integration of IS09000, Env. OHSAS18001 • Samtech • Min 3 years experience in a automotive manufacturing environment . • Min 3 years environment and safety.
