My client, one of SA’s largest independent advertising agencies has a superb opportunity for a dynamic digital strategist to step up into a challenging position which offers unbelievable scope for career growth in the social media arena.

In order to be considered for this opportunity, it is essential that you can place a huge X in the following boxes:

• Design social media strategies to achieve marketing targets across multiple social platforms
• Create, manage and publish original, high-quality content
• Create budgets for social media activities
• Continuously optimise strategy, positioning and targeting of clients’ platforms and messaging
• Create and maintain social media editorial calendars and posting schedules
• Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices
• Develop benchmark metrics to measure results of social media campaigns
• Work under tight deadlines with short turnaround times
• Prepare weekly or monthly reports on social media platform traffic and ROI
• Reporting (qualitative and quantitative) and interpreting data into actionable insights
•  Minimum of four years’experience with demonstrated success in social media community management, community building, social media strategy development, and outreach (examples of work to be presented)

In a nutshell, they are looking for a digital-savvy social media strategist who is knowledgeable about content marketing, social strategy development and strategic planning, community management, customer service, campaign optimisation, campaign analytics, the sales funnel and influencer marketing.

Requirements

• A degree in marketing, journalism or public relations, plus formal training and experience in the social media space
• Excellent writing skills within the social media context
