Environment:

A leading incredible new age global fintech currency company based in Cape Town is looking for a software security engineer to join their team. Candidate should have a solid foundation in Computer Security.

Duties:

• As a security engineer you will work on solving many complicated and interesting problems.
• Design and build systems to secure cryptocurrency, keys, sensitive information and other financial data.
• Define, build and enforce security processes and controls.
• Investigate security incidents.
• Scrutinize code and designs to find security vulnerabilities.

Requirements:

• BSc/MSc/PhD in computer science or other technical discipline, or equivalent working experience would be a nice to have.
• A solid foundation in practical computer security e.g. cryptography, threat analysis, system configuration.
• Extensive programming experience.
• Be friendly, transparent, articulate and driven to succeed.
• A passion for cryptography and security
• A work permit for South Africa if you are not a South African citizen.
