Environment:

A dynamic software house in Cape Town seeks a talented software support analyst to provide front-line support to end users on varying issues and problems, perform root cause analysis investigations and recommend procedures and controls for problem prevention. You require matric/grade 12, ideally an IT-related Degree/Diploma/IT Certification, three years’ experience in a similar role, knowledge of debugging software and skills including C# and SQL.
Duties:

• External support of our custom software using core Microsoft technologies.
• Assist with the support of internal applications.
• Ensure that client systems are fully operational, and any loss of service is restored in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide a high level of service to our customers and adhering to SLA’s for response and restoration times.
• Problem determination, workaround resolution, root cause analysis, major incident management.
• Creation and distribution of knowledge and information with other team members and the company.

Requirements:

• Matric/grade 12.
• IT Certification will be beneficial.
• IT Diploma or related Degree an advantage but not essential.
• Minimum of three years’ solid work-related relevant experience in the workplace in a similar role (tertiary exposure excluded).
• Basic knowledge of C#.
• SQL Experience.
• Some exposure to programming.
• Knowledge of debugging software.

Advantageous –

• DB Visualizer experience.
• Visual Studio.
• Linux.
• Exposure to working in an Agile development environment.
