A top online marketing and customer relationship management company is looking for a dynamic highly skilled candidate to join their SQL Database Administrator team who is passionate about data. The team looks after a large geographically distributed Microsoft SQL Environment that utilizes many of the latest SQL functionality, and constantly seeks to leverage new features as they become available to enhance performance and reduce latency between our systems.
The successful candidate will, together with the team – work closely with their Development and Business Intelligence departments to not only provide data, but supply input into best practices to ensure they meet the business expectations.

Duties will include, but not limited to:
- Administer Microsoft SQL Server database environments
- T-SQL Scripting and development on both new and existing functions
- Troubleshoot and resolve server, database and data issues
- Security maintenance of server and database
- Maintenance and monitoring of SQL environment
- Provide debugging assistance to development staff with DBMS
- Monitoring and completion of all DBA related Service-desk calls
- Backup setup and monitoring
- Participates in providing seven day/24 hour on-call support
Qualification and experience
- Relevant SQL certification / degree / diploma
- Minimum five years’ SQL database administration experience
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 / 2012 / 2014/ 2016
- T-SQL Scripting experience
- Database Security
- Have in depth SQL internal knowledge
- Backup and recovery experience
- Replication experience
- Always on Experience
- Failover clustering Experience
- Partitioning Experience
- Performance tuning on SQL, Reporting services, SSIS and Cubes
- SSIS (adv.)
