Job description
Recruitment Officer at AFDA Durban.
This is a full-time position on a contract starting as soon as possible.
The position of the Recruitment Officer needs to be filled by a friendly, respectful person that is enthusiastic, detail-oriented and always proactive and positively energised in driving the student recruitment process. This position also deals with relevant institutional stakeholders and manages a small team of recruitment assistant/s (1-2 people). This position will be primarily answering to the Group Marketing Manager or the National Recruitment Officer and is based full-time from the marketing office at the AFDA Durban campus. This position is a representation of the AFDA education brand to the prospective student, parent and teacher markets, and must be presentable and efficient at all times.

- Strategy Execution via programme and campus promotion, and coordinating small team to assist.
- Student Recruitment via travelling to and visiting schools (relationship building with schools and teachers) to promote, present and recruit students for AFDA’s programmes to build a database of enquiries. Execute recruitment events on campus and workshops via schools. Facilitate regular consultations and individual contact with the prospective student market.
- Admissions Administration via processing of and communication with applicants with individual follow up and feedback systems.
- Advertising and branding via seeking effective placement opportunities, facilitating production as needed and managing campus material stock.
- Communication and Relationships through PR and Social Media alignment, bulk communication and feedback data
Inclusive within the Core Value Points, the following duties are an added elaboration of what is expected to be fulfilled:
- Ensuring continuous and quality Calling (outgoing) and Speaking to (incoming) enquiries interested in AFDA
- Coordinating reception and ensuring there is always someone present at reception
- Ensuring accurate and timeous data-capturing, filing, record keeping and management
- Execute accurate weekly reporting
- Confident communication with prospective students and related stakeholders including face-to-face, email and calls as needed: consultations, working on EACRE conversions and recruiting of new students
- Assisting prospective students with the application process, booking and coordinating of consultations/ contact time with prospective students and related stakeholders. Guiding applicants through the registration process in order to achieve optimum numbers (targets) for enrolment
- Generating and/or providing relevant and accurate documentation and information to prospective students and parents
- Preparing prospective students and related stakeholders for enrolment
- Schedule, organise, and attend all marketing activities and events including schools visits, expos, open days, workshops etc.

Requirements
Education:
- Relevant undergraduate degree or preferably honours degree
- One to two years’ sales and/or customer relations experience
