Accounting manager required to join leading corporate based in Umhlanga.

Purpose of the job

• Responsible for ensuring the subscriber accounts are prepared in accordance to company policies and procedures
• Reconciliations between all integrated systems
• Management of payment allocation and reporting
• Inventory including Sales and Cost of Sales
• Sign off of all bill runs
• Reporting and Administration

Key performance areas
Subscriber accounts

• Ensure signed SLA is applied and achieved
• Ensure Delegation of Authority is signed and applied
• Ensure customer credits, refunds and adhoc charges are processed in accordance with DA
• Ensure subscriber accounts are reconciled monthly
• Assist with debit order creation and submission
• Ensure accurate accounting for the bill run process in General Ledger
• Ensure all bill runs are reconciled to supplied reports and get signed off within agreed timeframes
• Manage the write-off processes
• Manage the reconciliations between all integrated systems to ensure 100% accuracy – ensure all exceptions are corrected

Cash and bank

• Ensure bank statements are captured
• Ensure manual EFT payments correctly and accurately
• Sign off monthly reconciliations
• Prepare month end reports

Inventory

• Ensure all stock movement is recorded accurately
• Sign off all sales and cost of sales journals
• Organise quarterly stock counts and the warehouse

Reporting and administration

• Ensure that there are sufficient audit trails and back up documents kept
• Compilation of various reports required by internal and external parties
• Perform any other related duties as requested by management 

Minimum requirements of the job

• Diploma in accounting
• Three years’ accounts experience
• Pastel evolution experience
