Job description

Global financial business is building an R&D and product development team in the northern suburbs of Cape Town. This team is specifically tasked with building value-added products that the business can sell onto multinationals with the aim of combating the disruptive tech industry.

Your role will be to:

• Lead thought and delivery of product
• Conceptualise (team based), architect and deliver IOS based product
• Design and code said product
• Lead a team of three to five devs technically

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years’ commercial coding experience
• Advanced knowledge of Native Apple development – Obj C through Swift
• Some leadership experience necessary
• Architecture and design experience of apps essential

Useful knowledge to have:

• Previous experience building transactional products
• Objective C as well as Swift experience
• Cross-platform coding experience in your past – C#, Java/JEE through MEAN stack – not essential, the role is core IOS based
• Any Android/J2ME experience
• Previous experience building business value added products
• Some knowledge and appreciation of UI/UX (Browser) – not essential at all (they have plenty of web devs)
• Good knowledge of application security
