A leading global skincare company located in Cape Town is looking to have a senior video and motion graphics designer join the team. This is an amazing opportunity to work in an in-house communications and creative team.  It’s an exciting role where you’ll be called upon to create multimedia assets for a variety of platforms. The scope of the work includes storyboarding, design, editing, rendering and post-production.  

You’ll be working with high-calibre creatives who have successfully positioned the brand on the global stage.  The successful candidate must have a track record of well thought-through work reflected in the portfolio (link) as well as a talent for distilling complex information and developing and translating into simple creative solutions.  A rare, very interesting opportunity for a talented senior video and motions graphics designer looking for a fresh start and to break new ground!

Responsibilities

• Create animation storyboards for projects
• Provide accurate time estimates for each part of the process
• Assist in creating appropriate audio, graphic and animation styles for projects
• Support the graphic design team with various projects

Requirements

The successful candidate must have/be:

• Relevant Diploma/Degree in motion graphics or similar
• A minimum of three to five years of graphic design experience, including video production design and animation.
• Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop and other Adobe cloud platforms.
• Able to manage time effectively whilst multi-tasking against tight deadlines – a key requirement.
• Meticulous attention to detail – non-negotiable.
• Experience in or understanding of Cinema 4D, Premiere, Final Cut Pro and Flash – highly advantageous.
