The WMS Analyst will play a pivotal role to facilitate with development, testing and roll out of system enhancements and user training to ensure consistent and appropriate use of system. Provide 1st line assistance to users on the floor and to facilitate with appropriate set up of WMS. Training, support and development in the WMS space
Here’s what you can expect to be doing in the role
- Responsible for aligning, implementing and controlling physical tasks with WMS systems capability and functionality to optimize WMS solutions and minimize risk in operational execution
- Enhance inventory integrity through detailed understanding of WMS functionality and conduct daily audits on users execution vs intended use to ensure compliance adherence
- Conduct daily audits on WMS transactions to ensure system behaviour is as intended
- Optimize systems transactions by identifying shortfalls and or problem areas
- Conduct daily reconciliation of physical stock executions vs system transactional postings and identification of data integrity issues
- Ensure system process are executed as per design and instruction i.e. cycle counts, adjustment approval
- Optimize warehouse operations through detailed management of virtual areas in accordance with physical layout of the warehouse and ensure systems integrity is enhanced by purging obsolete data relevant to areas that are no longer in use
- Provide detail on WMS for trainings material through exceptional knowledge around WMS navigation and use
- Facilitate end users with understanding of system and provider training to ensure appropriate use
- Act as 1st line of support for issues experienced on the floor and provide troubleshooting solutions
- Fill the role of super user for WMS activities
- Develop, implement, enforce and evaluate policies and procedures in alignment with the WMS environment
- Supervises staff within functional area and report any concerns to the floor supervisor or manager
- Ensure that the departmental Health and Safety representative conducts their monthly walks and checks.
- Prepares IOD reports in the event of any injuries on duty for submission to the Health & Safety representative

A little bit about who you are
- Relevant qualification in logistics and/or warehousinG
- Exceptional WMS experience and knowledge
- Nice to have
- Systems “savvy” with ability to “scratch” below the surface to ensure/manage systems and data integrity
- WMS implementation and optimization through operational alignment
- In depth knowledge and understanding of warehouse / distribution and inbound / outbound logistics
- Experience in a retail environment will be an added advantage
- Understanding and/or experience of a warehouse management systems
- MS Office with advance Excel skills
- Minimum of 2 years’ operational experience in the warehousing industry
